Action planning is an additional tool that can be used to "complete the mystery shopping circle" by asking your general managers to address the issues that arise from mystery shops. If a mystery shop does not meet a certain score, an action plan will be generated and the general manager will have to fill it out, stating how staff members will deal with the issues the mystery shop shows.

Once the action plan is completed, senior managers can decide whether the proposed actions are acceptable or not, and can either return it to the general manager for more work, or accept it as appropriate action has been taken.
