Article - How to Decline a Mystery Shop



If you are no longer able to do a mystery shopping assignment after having been assigned it, then you must 'Decline' it in your Proinsight account. This will mean your Programme Coordinator is aware and can then schedule it with another shopper. We understand that plans sometimes change, so this might be unavoidable, but making a habit of declining shops will definitely affect the likelihood of being selected for other assignments.


To 'Decline' a mystery shop, go to 'My Assignments'.


You will then see a list of all of the mystery shops that you are due to do, so find the one that you are no longer able to complete. Next, click the three 'dots' on the right-hand side. Then click 'Decline'.


In the comment box that follows, write in the reason that you are no longer able to complete the assignment and submit it. If you are unsure about anything, please speak to your Programme Coordinator before you decline a shop.
