Article - How to Decline a Mystery Shop
If you find that you can’t complete a mystery shopping assignment after being assigned, it’s important to ‘Decline’ it in your Proinsight account. This lets your Fieldwork Manager know right away so the assignment can be offered to another shopper.
We completely understand that plans can change — sometimes it’s unavoidable! However, frequently declining assignments may affect your chances of being selected for future opportunities.
To ‘Decline’ a mystery shop, simply go to My Assignments in your account and follow the prompts. This helps keep everything running smoothly for everyone, while keeping you in good standing for future assignments.
You’ll then see a list of all the mystery shops you’re scheduled to complete. Find the one you can’t do, click the three dots on the right-hand side, and select ‘Decline’.
This lets your Fieldwork Manager know straight away and gives another shopper the chance to take the assignment. Simple, quick, and keeps everything running smoothly!
In the comment box that appears, let us know why you’re no longer able to complete the assignment, then click Submit.
If you’re unsure about anything, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Fieldwork Manager before declining a shop — they’re happy to help!
