Article - How to Change Your Aspect Ratio to 16:9
Some of our mystery shopping assignments require the photos that you take to be a specific 'aspect ratio'. The aspect ratio of a photo is the ratio of the width to the height. Whilst initially this might sound complicated, it is actually a very straightforward process!
The exact approach does of course depend on what type of phone you have, so we will cover three of the most popular smartphone models in this article. For most newer models it is easy to do this before taking the photos. If you find that you are unable to, it can always be done afterwards by editing the photo (provided you have taken it in landscape).
1. For an iPhone, this video below provides a very good tutorial on how to change the aspect ratio before you take the photos, as well as how to edit the photos once you have taken them. Again, make sure you take the photos in landscape first!
2. If you have a Samsung smartphone, then this video should help!
3. If you have a Huawei, then give this a quick watch. You will notice that there is no 16:9 option, so please use the 18:9 instead.
If you find that you have a phone that is not included in these examples then a swift search on Google will more than likely provide you with the correct answer!
